We are all humans and humans like stuff that’s not always good for us. We know sugar is yummy whether it’s in chocolate, ice cream or wine. We want our members to be great athletes, but also recognize that they are people, and people have lives to live. That’s why we believe in the rule of 80/20:

  • 80% of your physical wellbeing (and how you look) comes from what you put into your body. 20% comes from fitness.
  • If you can eat and live clean 80% of the time, you are doing a great job! It is NOT about perfection.

So what does clean living and eating mean? Very simply it means eating whole foods, fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meats and minimal grains (including those in alcohol). It means avoiding anything processed or with added sugars or trans fats. To take clean eating a step further, we recommend the paleo diet.
